Getting ready for Disneyland!

Front and Back

This is my first attempt at decoupage. I started with a square Sarabinder and some "Disneyesque" paper...add a whole bunch of modge podge and a few hours later... My Disney Vacation organizer/trip planner.

Here is the paper used:

Magic daisies by Reminisce (Real Magic Line)

Magic polka dots by Reminisce (Real Magic Line)

Magic Flowers by Reminisce (Real Magic Line)

The stripes are from the same line. However, I used up the part that has the name.

The paper I used on the tabbed dividers is from Sandylion.

The last 2 photos show the inside with tabbed dividers.

Meet my new nephew

Brandon Mason Cimino was born this morning. He was breach, so my sister had him via c-section. It's a good thing too cause he was also a big baby (9 lb, 15 1/2 oz) and the cord was wrapped around his neck which was causing him to have trouble breathing. He was rushed away and put under oxygen for several hours, but, I'm happy to announce that he is doing fine now! Isn't he sweet?

my altered roladex

Here is a fun project I have been working on. It's still not 100% done, but I like how it's turned out so far. This is going in my kitchen which has yellow walls. I've got a french country thing going on in there...or at least that's what I'm shooting for, so that is the inspiration for the patterned papers.

Tripple the Fun

Tomorrow is "twin" day at Natalie's school, however I was called by two moms whos daughter wanted to be her twin so I guess they will be triplets instead. I made these necklaces for them to wear. Not bad for 10 pm!

Zander's Train birthday invitation (when he was 2)

This is a tri-fold card. The blue engine is the front panel. The giraffe card inside the vellum pocket opens to give the details of the party.

Front and inside of invitation "boarding pass." (It flips up to open)

Wow! It has been a while since I have posted to this blog. Thanks Donna for the encouragement. I needed it today! I've been in a funk this week and haven't been creating much. I did work on Zander's birthday pages for his cowboy party. There are a few spots that still need captions before I will post them. I seem to put off my journaling, but I hope to finish the pages this weekend so I can start on Natalie's birthday pages.

I thought I would post a birthday invite I created a couple years ago when Zander had a train birthday party. The cover design was made by making a paper piecing pattern out of a retired Stampin' Up! train stamp. I know I could have just stamped them and it would have been a lot faster to complete, but those who know me well, know I can't just do anything the easy way! Plus, I really like the paper piecing look for my invites. The inside "Boarding Pass" was obviously done on the computer and did save me some time by not having to hand-write all the details. Thanks for looking!
