Angel Christmas Card

The Green Background was made using patterned tissue paper. Start out by crinkling the tissue into a ball and then un-wrinkle it. Iron it on to the shiny side of freezer paper and trim of extra freezer paper. Then just cut to size and mount onto cardstock as you would with any other background paper. All stamps and ink are Stampin' Up!

Happy Birthday Card Using Pastels

To get the flowers to show up on red cardstock, I used the White Craft Ink and then used pastels over the top. For those who plan to try this, the craft ink takes a little longer to dry, so don't stack anything on top until it is dry.

Eastern Oregon Trip: 2001

The Lights on Broadway/Times Square: 2003

Advertising at it's finest! From smoking billboards to cell phones 20+stories tall, you will find serious advertising dollars spent in and around Times Square. If we were there without the kids, I would have been begging Dan to take us to see Billy Joel's 'Movin' Out' Broadway musical. I'm still trying to figure out how to squeeze a caption on this layout...any suggestions?

No Soup for YOU!

While in NYC in 2003, Dan and I thought it would be fun to have soup at the soup kitchen made famous by the show "Seinfeld." On our way there, we stoped at the hang-out from the show. When we got to the Soup Kitchen International, it was 'closed for the summer.' Keep in mind, this was in May that we were there. I think the place is so popular that he can just take a vacation whenever he wants. No Soup for YOU!

Smores Can For Dan's Surprize Camping Party

These were empty paint cans you can get at Lowes or Home Depot that I covered with camping themed scrapbook paper. Inside I packaged up marshmallows, chocolate and grahm crackers for smores, as well as a cute mini first aid kit I purchased from Target (love the dollar spot at Target!) On top of the can was a marshmallow roasting fork. I gave one of these to each couple at Dan's surprize party and we all had a blast roasting marshmallows at our backyard campout!

Ducky Party

Here are some things I put together for Hayden's first birthday. The first is a ducky centerpiece. I made about 6 of these and put them out on the tables outside. The second is the invitation to his party. It is a 6x6 card that I made and mailed in a square vellum envelope.

The REAL reason we went to Vegas!

Dan was so disappointed that we missed out on the "all you can eat" seafood buffet the last time we went to Vegas (due to my pregnancy/nausea) that on the first night, we took a taxi to the Rio Hotel just to have dinner. It was amazing, all you can eat lobster tail, crab legs, fish...as well as other international cuisine and a dessert bar to die for. It was well worth the $$$. I can't wait to go there next time!

I made the net out of an old onion bag and then added the crabs which are from none other than Jolie's botique.

I decided to start a separate blog for my scrapbooking etc. I will probably post some of the same layouts in my original blog, however, I want more people to have access to these ideas.
